The Beauty of Fall at the Lake

Last weekend while Mr.CC and I were in Auburn for our football game, we deceided to spend Friday at the lake. With the trees at their peak, this was the perfect time to spend the day riding down country roads and soaking up all the FALL BEAUTY!!!  In a few years Mr.CC will retire and we have been thinking about relocating to the lake...where do want to retire to? I'm looking forward to spending lots of time soaking up the beauty of our country...we plan on traveling the great old USA...hoping to see all 50 states. Take a look around the lake and you will understand why we want to make it our new home in a few years!
                                               Hope y'all come back...real soon,
                                                                    Linda

I'm joining these linky parties!

What a beautiful retirement spot, Linda. So peaceful, and you still get the Seasons. I love the Ocean, and would retire there, but I would miss Fall, and Spring really. Thanks for sharing such pretty pics, have a wonderful Sunday, tami

We'll be at my sister's lake house on Lake Martin the weekend after the SEC game to decorate for our annual family Christmas which will be held on the weekend of December 18th. This will be the 3rd year we've done family Christmas there and it's a lot of fun. Of course, I love the lake anytime of the year!

It would be hard to leave such beauty. We spent about 7 years traveling in the RV but it was nice to settle with the both places. One here in Florida and one in my favorite place NC.

I enjoyed your Fairhope posts - my sister was there in the summer and she said the antiquing and junking were incredible.

We are glad that we retired (ha! he is still working a lot!) at Lake Martin. However, I would love to have a house on a level lot! I just know I am going to roll down the hill one day and land in the lake!

I think that looks like a perfect place to retire :) I've never heard of a town like that.... I want to understand the taxes a bit more.... I'll have to do some research. Thank you for sharing all the beautiful picture :)

I wouldn't mind spending a lot of time at this beautiful lake. We decided on retirement here on the coast of NC but in hindsight I wish that we would have kept our home in the mountains of West Virginia and bought a second home here.
I think we acted too fast.

I hope that you enjoyed your trip.

Just gorgeous Linda! We thought we wanted to retire to good ol' Cape Cod but it is way too crowded in the summer. We've a way to go but I think I am a lake girl myself!

Linda,
Lake Martin is beautiful! It would be a wonderful place to retire to. Your pics are just beautiful. I would like to have a second home on the lake one day ... just to sit and look at the water.

Linda, Beautiful pictures! My husband grew up on Lake Martin and his mother and sister still live in the area. We try to visit several times a year. Thanks for putting my Holiday Decor button on your sidebar and I will be sure and do the same when yours is ready.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and I know you will be watching the Auburn game on Friday.
Hugs,
Sherry

I live by a river and there's trees all around our property, so I know how peaceful is to be in a place like that. Too bad that the leaves are all gone now.. so, seeing all of these leaves made me fee happy... it's all covered with snow here.. I miss all of the colors already!

Gorgeous. I love the fall leaves! California hardly has seasons. Don't mind me while I camp out here on your page and pretend I'm relaxing at the lake.

How gorgeous! I would love to live on a body of water. My first choice would be by the ocean, but a lake would absolutely be a great choice, too.
